It’s really beautiful out this very early morning. The lake is shrouded in fog and the only light is from the dock lights below us. The trees have already lost their leaves so they are just lacy skeletons peeking out of the fog. I tried to take a picture of it but, though there is probably a way of making it work it’s too late (or early) to figure it out. The night scene setting isn’t enough to get a photo that isn’t simply all black at any rate.
I’ve always loved the fog even though it reminds me of The Mist. I don’t believe that there are monsters hidden by the dense fog but I feel as if I’m the only person left in the world when I am out in the fog.

Ah, the Mist. I thought it was so sad… we watched it after “I am Legend”, which I liked better. Also sad, but one of my favorite movies/stories of all time…
